COUNTERFEIT PONY-O

The true, high-quality PONY-O is available ONLY at ponyo.com or our Authorized Distributors. DON’T BE FOOLED BY CHEAP KNOCK-OFFS ON DISCOUNT SITES LIKE AMAZON, EBAY AND ALIBABA. Since PONY-O took the hair accessory industry by storm in 2018, there has been an increase in crooks and scammers looking to make a quick buck by selling counterfeits of our patented product on discount sites. THE EASIEST WAY TO TELL IS IF IT IS NOT CALLED "PONY-O" IT IS NOT A PONY-O! Foldable silicone bla, bla, bla are cheap copies that will last you 16 uses or less!
These unauthorized sellers do their best to present themselves as PONY-O by using our copyrighted images and booklets, and sometimes our trademark protected name. We work diligently to shut down these counterfeiters, but that is a huge task (think Whack-A-Mole), and your help is appreciated! Here’s a few things to remember when buying the PONY-O:
PLACE
The real PONY-O products are shipped domestically and internationally from Pine, Colorado, as well as from our Authorized Distributors in Australia, the UK, Finland, South Africa and Kuwait.
PRICE
Be wary of very low prices! Cheap price = cheap product.
PRODUCT
We offer 8 hair-blending colors, as well as Limited Edition PONY-Os, Bun Barz and Bling Ringz. If a site is selling only 3 colors, it’s a knock-off.
Our products are soft and malleable and the workmanship is high quality. If the product you received is hard to bend, breaks after a few uses, has thin silicone with the metal inside showing, or has aluminum inside, it is a knock-off.
Run your thumb along the top of the PONY-O. If you feel a ridge, or the edge of the metal, it’s a knock-off. Our copper goes the full width, side to side, and our edges are gradually tapered.
To ensure your product is genuine, look for the trademark PONY-O stamped on the inside.
PACKAGING
We ship in a 6.5x10 Kraft bubble envelope. If your order is large, it will be shipped in a 7x9x3 box. Each order contains a booklet and bag.
Our packaging does not contain grammar and spelling mistakes.
Our logo is on the booklet included with each order. This booklet is a two-fold, high quality glossy booklet, not a photocopy.
If you’ve bought one of these knock-offs, please contact us. We will do our best to make it right.
And please remember:
Purchasing counterfeit products isn’t a victimless crime. (https://share.america.gov/whats-wrong-with-buying-counterfeit-goods/)
---The buyer deprives designers and other copyright holders of the fruits of their labors and unfairly transfers those profits to others.
---Fake goods undermine innovation, hurting consumers and businesses alike. Why should talented designers create an awesome handbag or iPhone case if they can’t reap the financial rewards of their creativity?
---Counterfeiters do not pay taxes, meaning less money for your city’s schools, hospitals, parks and other social programs.
---Because most counterfeit goods are produced in sweatshops run by organized crime, profits often support terrorist groups, drug smugglers, sex traffickers and street gangs. Sweatshops, in turn, are notorious for violating child-labor laws and basic human rights, and many workers are coerced through a system of indentured servitude, a form of modern-day slavery.
If you're not purchasing a PONY-O, you're purchasing a PHONY-O.
