Are you suffering from dull, lifeless locks? Here's a sweet treat to give you beautiful, shiny Valentine's Day hair.
AS EASY AS 1-2-3!
You need 3 ingredients and you probably have them in your kitchen:
- Strawberries 🍓
- 1 Egg Yolk
- Olive Oil
Blend the ingredients until smooth. Apply to your hair, starting at the roots and working your way down, and let it set for 20 minutes, then rinse the mask out in the shower. (It might take a couple of rinses because it is fruit mixed with oil). That's it! Super easy and super effective!
STRAWBERRIES FOR A MASK?
There are so many benefits to using strawberries for a hair mask. Not only do they add shine to your hair, strawberries also infuse your follicles with Vitamin C, antioxidants, and the seeds are like little massaging brushes, exfoliating your scalp.
Strawberries are also great for your hair's health because they're loaded with Omega 3 fatty acids, magnesium and copper.
The egg yolk is full of protein and, paired with the olive oil, you'll get a ton of moisture and healthier hair. If you're in a dry climate like Colorado, your hair will love the additional moisture from this easy mask.
SECURE YOUR HAIR WITH PONY-O
For secure and non-damaging hold (and to control the mess), be sure to use your PONY-O to secure your hair while it's masked up. Shannon used the Teal PONY-O for this demo.
The whole point of a mask is to have healthier hair, right? So why put it up with an elastic hair tie that's going to damage it?! It's time to throw those things in the trash, to be honest.
Don't worry about the color of the mask...your hair won't turn pink, even though it might look that way. 😆 In a little more than an hour, you're left with silky, shiny and soft hair, perfect for Valentine's Day (or Night) out.
